Conference 2008
The second annual Responsible Travel & Tourism Forum (RTTF) is set for October 14 to October 15, 2008 at the Toronto Hilton in Toronto, Ontario.
RTTF is Canada's only industry-led forum that brings travel and tourism professionals together to learn and discuss a wide range of issues relating to responsible business practices.
The forum which has been expanded to 2 days also aims to facilitate networking among peers, both domestically and internationally, across all sectors of the travel and tourism industry as well as with government authorities and NGO'.
RTTF's ultimate objective is to be the catalyst for an open dialogue on issues which explore emerging green practices and the evolution of products and services which will meet new consumer demands and possible regulatory frameworks.
In 2008, RTTF will include case-study based plenary sessions, and new this year are 6 highly interactive workshops which include topics such as green commissions, environmentally sound meetings and events, demystifying carbon offsets, corporate social responsibility 101 and others.
High profile Canadian and international speakers from academia, private and public sector will deliver a wide range of perspectives and current responsible travel and tourism initiatives being adopted globally.
